ENVILAND
The primary objective of ENVILAND is the development of novel and outstanding approaches for the generation of land cover products, utilising the synergetic usage of optical and SAR data. In several studies it has been shown, that the derivable information content of the imagery, the efficiency of the methods and therefore the accuracy of the final products can be increased using time series of optical and SAR imagery. Hence for the development of efficient methods a multitemporal and multisensoral approach shall be applied.
The ENVILAND project is partially funded by the German Aerospace Centre DLR and the German Ministry of Education and Research BMBF.
ENVILAND is a joint research project between research institutes and private companies. The consortium consists of:
- Jena-Optronik GmbH (Project Coordinator)
- Institute of Geography at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena
- Center for Remote Sensing of Land Surfaces at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn
- Zentrum für Bild- und Signalverarbeitung e.V. of the Technische Universität Ilmenau and
- Desotron GmbH
